As McHenry County Treasurer Donna will work with staff to continue to use basic common-sense, best practices, and risk management in maintaining a fiscally conservative approach to manage our precious tax dollars.
My focus will be on these areas:
1. Invest Your Money Wisely and with Risk Management as a primary objective.
Protecting McHenry County's investments while seeking the maximum return to help keep property taxes down is a key responsibility of the Treasurer. Because of my experience as a licensed Financial Advisor and in Investment Management, I bring a critical level of understanding to manage and protect our financial assets as your McHenry County Treasurer.
2. Focus on Continuous Improvement
As a Corporate Manager for companies like P&G and Abbott Laboratories, I have led many process improvement efforts that involved streamlining workflow practices as a result of technology implementations. As your McHenry County Treasurer, I look forward to applying this experience to identify areas to control costs, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall client experience. Through process improvement driven by collaboration, teamwork, and use of best practices (including new technology applications) we can continue to meet increasing challenges, while improving services AND holding the line on costs.
3. Outreach to Our Community
As your McHenry County Treasurer, Donna will introduce new outreach efforts so all McHenry County taxpayers know of tax savings benefits they may be entitled to receive. Additional use of in-person programming, social media, and working with community leaders throughout the County will help in connecting with individuals or their loved ones so they may benefit from these programs.
